i'll know my name as it's called again

I'm Amy.
I'm a sophomore at EU - International Studies and Writing.
I read a lot of books, drink a lot of coffee, and ask a lot of questions.
Don't be a stranger. :)

“I am all in a sea of wonders. I doubt; I fear; I think strange things which I dare not confess to my own soul.”
- Bram Stoker, Dracula

Currently reading. Yes, for the first time.
I think I never read it before because I assumed it would be as tedious as Frankenstein: a boring (in my opinion) epistolary “horror” novel with too many frilly adjectives and not enough action. Not to mention that the current vampire trend makes me want nothing to do with vampires of any sort and the cliched Bela Lugosi image of Dracula holds no appeal for me.
And yet, I love it. Intensely love it. I’m only about halfway through it because I have to keep putting it down to read other less important things for school; but it’s haunting and seductive and suspenseful and ingeniously crafted - not to mention fitting for the Halloween season - and I love it. Did I already say that?
I guess sometimes the classics are classic for a reason. :)
